Biography

Jimena Vazquez Garcia is a visiting fellow in the Centre for Ideology and Discourse Analysis. Previously she was a lecturer in the Government Department at the University of Essex, and before a post-doctoral researcher at Anglia Ruskin University. She holds a PhD in Ideology and Discourse Analysis from the University of Essex and is a member of the Centre for Ideology and Discourse Analysis. Her research focuses on theories of political subjectivation and critique in Michel Foucault’s thought. Her current interests revolve around ideas of care, digital subjectivities and counter-hegemonic practices.
